Although Messrs Kirkpatrick and Co. purchased all the suitable fruit they could obtain last season, their stocks of Jams, &0., were exhausted some weeks ago, and lor more than a month past they have been unable to fulfil orders. This fact, though in one sense unsatisfactory to the firm named, is gratifying, inasmuch as it proves the deservedly high favour in which the “K" Jams are held throughout the Colony. This result is also of considerable interest to the local fruitgrowers, for it is an indication that during tho coming season there will be an increased demand for suitable fruits. Messrs Kirkpatrick have had many difficulties to contend with in tho past, but having established a reputation for their goods above that enjoyed by other makers, there ia every indication that the demand for their praeervos will inoieaae year by year.
