[Pan Pbess Association.] DUNEDIN, DEC. 31. The annual prize-firing competition c! the E fie Association was concluded on Saturday, having been only moderately successful, chiefly owing to the difficulty of securing Martini ammunition. The iailiet’ challenge shield was won by the High School Cadets with 356, they having been fortunate enough to fire when the weather was good. The North Dunedin Ellies and the City Guards, who were second and third, were leading till the 600yds range,, at which they had to tire in a downpour of rain, which spoilt their chance.
