[Per Press Association.’] WELLINGTON, August 15. The Governor and the Countess o£ Onslow, the Minister for Defence and a largo party, went over to Chelly Pay this afternoon for tho purpose* of witnessing some experiments conducted by tho torpedo corps. By the Hauroto this afternoon the Wei-
ling ton Acclimifcisation Society sent 20,000 brown trout ova New South Wales Inspector of Fisheries. A sun-dial in bronzo has been constructed here to the order of His Excellency the Governor, for presentation to the Queen of Raratonga.
