HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

TO THS XDITOB. Sin,—When I had read a letter in your issue of this morning ; signed "W. 8.! Hacon,” I exclaimed "An enemy hath; done this,” believing utterly, as I do, that! such a damaging production could only' have been penned by a bitter enemy of Drj Hacon. Such, 1 feel sure, is the case. Dr; Hacon is on honourable gentleman, and; a leading member of the medical in this city, and, 1 am told, an ez-Fresidentl of the Canterbury Medical Society. ■ > . The sooner Dr Hacon disclaims , tha authorship of the letter referred to, tha' better for himself and for his friends and well-wishers.—l am, &c., AMICUST August 12.
