MAIL NOTICES.

Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Wednesday, July 15. For Otago, per Tarawera, at 11.10 a.m,; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard’s van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Greymouth, per Eoeamond, at 12.30 p.m.; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m.; guard’s van, 1.25 p.m. train. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe and America and West Indies (via Sau Francisco), Sandwich Islands, &c., &c., and also for northern ports of New Zealand, per Takapuna, as follows ; Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m.; late fee letters, 8 p.m; books and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; registered letters, 5 p.m.; money orders, 4 p.m.; guard’s van, 9.5 p.m. train. Postage to United Kingdom, 2ld per ioz; to United States of America and Canada, 6d per -Joz; to the Continent of Europe as heretofore. This mail will be due in London on August 19. Thursday, July 16. For Australian Colonies, and also for the United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Naples (specially addressed correspondence only). Point do Galle, India, China, Japan, &c., and also for France, Algeria, Mauritius, &c. (specially marked per French packet only), per express (to connect with s.s. Tarawera at Port Chalmers), at 10.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 10.25 a.m.j guard’s van, (on express) 11 a.m.
