ALLEGED MURDER.

[Peb Pbkbb Association.] WANGANUI, June 23,

The hearing of the alleged murder case, arising out of the death of Emily Kate Spicer through the performance of an illegal operation, was begun at the Police Court yesterday, and resumed this morning. Sergeant-Major Andeisoa conducted the case for the police. The accused, Caroline Peyman, was present, in charge of the gaoler. The proceedings were, in the main, a repetition of the evidence adduced at the late inquest. The prisoner was committed for trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court, to be held at Wan« ganui on October 6.
