SODDEN DEATH. - Mr Richard Manack, a well-known BMident of Christchurch, died yesterday ewenisgat. the Zetland Arms from choking while taking his tea in the public dining toon of the hotel. Mr Marrack was not ba the habit of staying at the Zetland, but having attended the' Addington market daring the day, he called there and said he was going to atay for the night.' Mr" Kruse’s injuries are undoubtedly : serious.' The victim of the accident is about twenty-five years of age.
