METEOROLOGICAL RECORD.
The rainfall, as registered at the Bangiora High School, for May was 1*192m. Bain fell on six days, bat on two of these the amount was insignificant, being less than the one-hundredth part of an inch. The heaviest fall occurred daring the twenty-four hours ending at 9.30 a.m on May 21, viz., '6o7in. The direction of the wind was:—South-west five days, northwest one day. The rainfall for May, 1890, was l'4l9in, and for May, 1889, it was 2 - 351 in, the average for the three years thus being T664ia. The total for the first five months of 1891 has amounted to 7 689 in. For the corresponding period of 1890 it was 4 , 532 in, and of 1889 it was 7 955 in, the average for the three years thus being 6*725in. The following observations have been taken at the School of Agriculture, Lincoln, self-registering instruments for previous twenty-four hoars ending 9.30 a.m. on:—
?he removal of the Hungarian Primate’s from Gran to Buda-Pestu atteni to that twin city’s growth at the iense of Vienna. Vienna seems to be idily going down.
