In the House of Lords to-day a Bill to enable persons charged with crime to give evidence, also to enable wives to give evidence on behalf of their husbands, passed its second reading. A.n injunction is sought to restrain Mr J. B, Kelly, Treasurer of the Scottish Branch of the National League, from paying over to Mr Justin M’Oarthy money raised for evicted tenants in Ireland, Mr Parnell intends to visit America when the House of Commons has been prorogued. He has arranged to marry Mrs O’Shea in a month or six weeks.
