Directors have every confidence that their endea- 1 vours to provide for the increasing want will ha; fully appreciated by the public, the more so os' they will, while increasing their accommodation, - reduce the working expenses by joining the two: businesses, and thus be able to sell cheaper than: ever. Kecognioing that the principles of Co-operation will no doubt govern the business of the future, - it is now proposed to issue Shares to the public,; so that customers who wish to obtain a full share 1 in the profits may do so by becoming Shareholders, It is proposed, subject to the sanction of the! Shareholders, that the shareholders should receive, ; First—A dividend upon their paid-up capital at aj rate not exceeding 10 per cent per annum; Second! —That after a settlement of accounts and provid-i ing for such interest on capital and depreciation, out of the balance remaining at the credit of profit and loss account, one-quarter shall be divided amongst the Shareholders as a bonus, and the: Other three-quarters shall be distributed amongst' the customers, on production of their purchase coupons within the prescribed time.
