The League also deribuuces the present mission of M<»ars Dillon and O’Brien. LONDON, Nov. 22. The Daily Telegraph considers that '/he result of the O’Shea divorce case has convulsed the Gladstone Party. The English Catholics and the dissenting Presbyterian Press insist that Mr Parnell should retire from the leadership of the Irish Party. The Star, in referring to the case, admits that the English and Scotch Liberals are united against Mr Parnell. The New York Tribune considers that the charge on which Mr Parnell stands convicted is so base that he must retire. The Canadian Press are unanimous in condemnation, of his conduct. In Ireland resolutions are carried daily favouring Mr Parnell maintaining the leadership of the party. The Roman Catholic Bishops are silent on the matter. A female admirer of Mr Parnell’s has bequeathed him £2OOO. At the request of Mr Parnell, Sir O. Q avan Duffy will contest the election for Kilkenny North, rendered necessary owing to the death of Mr E. P. Mulhallen Marum, who was returned at the last election without opposition.
