[The information contained in the above message is incorrect, as the Championship of America belongs to O’Connor, and is held by him. The race Gaudaur won will probably turn out to be the Single Soulls at the Duluth Regatta, a big affair organised with the idea of bringing together all the foremost scullers of the world, but it is safe to say that only American and Canadian oarsmen competed.]
