THE EXHIBITION.
[Feb Pjsess Association.] DUNEDIN, March 11. An authoritative statement is made that whilst there is absolutely no fear of a deficit upon the Exhibition, it is not likely that there will bo any considerable repayment to shareholders of the money paid up, the expenses since the opening having largely exceeded expectations. Among the awards announced are the following Chutney, Allprogs (Christchurch), first-class. Our Own Eelish, New Zealand Pickle Company first. Tomato sauce, J. Allprees first. Inlaid writing desk, J. Salkeld, and pair of frames (New Zealand wood.) E. Buckley (Christchurch) second-claas for collective exhibit. Working model ball-bearing bicycle, C. J. Bull (Christchurch) first. Marino striking clock, Ignaz Qofctfleld (Christchurch) firstclaas. Eug, G. B. Toomey (Lyttelton) first. Aromatic coffee and chicory, J. White and Co. (Amberley) first. Pickles, New Zealand Pickle Company first, for quality and assortment.
