The schooner Lily was cleared at the Customs yesterday lor Auckland. The steamer Brunner arrived from Dunedin, viA Timaru, yesterday morning, and left for Westport in the afternoon. The steamer Jubilee left for Dunedin yesterday, taking a large number of passengers, who took advantage of the Ellis liner to proceed to the Exhibition city. The schooner Annie Wilson left for Kaipara yesterday morning with a cargo of produce. The steamers Jane Douglas and Akaroa arrived from Akaroa yesterday evening. The barque Ganymedo “broke bulk" yesterday afternoon. She will have quick despatch, and will probably proceed to Oamaru on Saturday evening. The barque Wakefield arrived from Wellington yesterday morning with part cargo of merchandise from New York, consigned to Messrs Miles and Co. She loads flour at this port and Auckland for New York, on account of the New Zealand Shipping Company, . , „ The steamer Takapuna arrived from northern porta yesterday at 9.46 a.m. She left Onohunga at 5.45 p.m. on Monday; called at New Plymouth, and left Wellington at 8 p.m. on the following day. She left Wellington on Sept. 6, and arrived in something under seventy-four days. We must compliment Captain Canese and his chief officer, Mr W. Collins, on the quick voyage of their splendid charge. The New Zealand Shipping Company have received a cable message from their London offices advising that their new cargo steamer, the Duke of Westminster, sailed on Nov. 19 for New Zealand, viA Capetown and Hobart. The Duke of Westminster will leave Lyttelton on the return voyage in January, carrying 35,000 carcases of mutton and 150 tons of dairy produce. The s.s.
