VIRTUE REWARDED.
Edward Sinks had been an exceedingly good boy for the previous twelve months, and when his school broke up for the Christmas holidays Edward was the proud bearer of a letter to his paternal relative, in which the dominie testified that he had been the leading light of his term, and had been regularly top of his form at mental arithmetic, physical geography, and other juvenile accomplishments. The maternal Kinks, blissfully ignorant of the fact that the same letter, which was amanifold one, was carried into every household represented at the school, promptly rewarded young Ted with a Waterbury watch, which made him supremely happy, as it is warranted to do any boy who is lucky enough to own one. This watch is not a toy but a reliable timekeeper; and parents looking for birthday or Christmas presents cannot possibly do better than choose the Waterbary.
