Polish journals report the arrival at Warsaw of some French engineers who have obtained from the Government of China a concession for the construction of a direct line of electric telegraph between that country and Eussia. A wealthy uncle in Michigan recently left his nephew, an eccentric old bachelor, *oo,('-00, only on condition that ho should marry. The contents of the leaking out the embarrassed man is 'said to be deluged with offers of marriage from ladies.
