WEST CHRISTCHURCH SCHOOL SWIMMING RACES.
The West Christchurch School swimming races were held in the school bath on Friday afternoon. Mr A. Francis acted as Judge, Mr T. S. Fester as Starter, and Mr D. Jack as Timekeeper. The following were the results:—Champion Race (for medal given by Mr A. Francis) —John Paterson. Plunging Competition—Percy Wood. Champion Handicap—J, Paterson, 1 • Walter Simes, 2. Learners’ Handicap —Stanley Rundlo, 1; Sinclair Clark, 2 ; George Wark, 3. Hurdle Handicap—J. Paterson, 1; A. Forbes, 2 ; L. Andrews, 3. Handicap (under 13)—Walter Simes, 1; William Baxter, 2. Long Dive —J. Paterson. Tub Race—J. Paterson, 1; L. Andrews, 2. Consolation Handicap (over 13)—Peter Currie, 1; Harry Tombs, 2. Consolation Handicap (under 13)— George King, 1; George Gray, 2.
