DUNEDIN, March 29. A largely attended meeting of Masons of three Constitutions, at which representatives from the country Lodges, from Oamaru. to Invercargill, ■ were present, was held at the Masonic Hall to-night. Mr Sydney James, as senior Past Master, presided. Dr Fitchett moved, and Mr A. H. Burton seconded the resolution—- " That it is desirable that a United Grand Lodge for New Zealand should be formed.” To this amendments were proposed, one being to the effect that the proposal was premature; but they were negatived by large majorities, and the motion carried, there being only three dissentients.
