The United States Government is sending another warship to Samoa. BERLIN. Jah. 10. The German Press assert that the Congress book recently received from Washing tonadmits that the American interests in Samoa do not justify any dispute between the United States and the Powers in regard to that country. {Received Jan. 14, at 12.40 a.m.J WASHINGTON, Jah. 12. Mr Sevell, tbe American Consul at Samoa, who has been examined at a secret sitting of the Foreign Relations Committee of this House of Representatives, stated that if it was not intended to yield to Germany the group, the great Powers must takSv immediate and decided action. He considered that the present division of the Native inhabitants was entirely due to German oppression; and, further, that it was important that the neutrality of the group should be secured, BERLIN, JAH, 12; The German Press asserts that steps are being taken to restore order in Samoa.
