RUGBY UNION.

A Committee meeting was held at Warner’s Hotel, on Monday, Sept. 8, at 7.30 p.m.; present—Mr A. B. G. Rhodes (in the chair) Messrs Smith, Weekes. Garrard, Crawahaw, Eesteven, and Beswick. A letter was read from the Addington Club, protesting against a try obtained by the Merivale in their match last Saturday. The Secretary was requested to obtain statements from the Umpires and Referee upon the facts of the case. The Junior Cup Committee produced designs obtained for a Junior Cup, out of which one was chosen. . The question of arranging about decaying expenses in connection with the visit of the interprovincial team to Dunedin was left to the Secretary and Treasurer.
