[Pee. Press Association.] AUCKLAND Sept. 3. Yesterday morning a fire broke out in a shop and duelling house on Eemura road, occupied by Trubshaw Bros., and as there was no means of checking its progress, the flames extended to an adjacent shop and dwelling occupied by W. Adcock, butcher. Both buildings, together with a building used as a storehouse, were destroyed. Trubahaw’a premises were insured for £BOO, the stock for .£4OO, and the furniture for .8200, in the New Zealand Office. Two houses in Kyber Pass road were burned last night. The buildings were the property of A. Eaton, and are insured for .£2OO each with the South British Company. One was occupied by L. VV. Eaton, over whose furniture and stock the Norwich Union Office hold a risk of £2OO, Henderson, who resided in the other house, had his furniture insured for £4O in the Eoyal. KAIKOURA, Sept. 3. Kincaid House, the residence of Mr A. W. Inglis, was burned down last night. Eeally nothing was saved. Mr Inglia lost a quantity of valuable plate, a number of family relics, and a fine library. The fire was discovered about nine o'clock, when all the inmates were in bod. Tho insurance was £450, in the Victoria Insurance Company.
