WRECK OF A FISHING BOAT.

[Pee Press Association.] GISBORNE, Sept. 1. The fishing smack Three Brothers, of about twenty tons burthen, left hereon Thursday for a bay along the coast, to load posts. The vessel was caught by a heavy South-east gale and sea, which sprang up in the night. No shelter being available, and knowing that tha vessel would be unable to live in the heavy sea, the captain ran her ashore on a sandy beach, where she was broken to atoms. The men on board managed to get ashore, A Venetian superstition ia that if a stranger dies at an hotel the number of hiß rooms will be lucky in the next lottery.
