Croup, Quinsy, &o. Croup, Quinsy, Ac. There is scarcely a town in New Zealand in which some extraordinary alleviation and prolongation of life has not made it popular, and its marvellous virtues have already secured for it one of the highest positions in the annals of medicine. The “Lung Preserver,” by virtue of its balsamic and soothing properties, cannot he excelled as a soother of pulmonic irritation; nor does it, like most of the trashy patent pectorals, with opium for their base, allay irritation and vital activity at the same time, a very easy, thing to do. The effect of opium is to produce a toruid condition of the organs and if given in a case or bronchitis, for instance, would induce a condition very dangerous to life. Persons suffering from bronchial affections who take the “ Lung Preserver ” will find the speedy effect to be —diminution of pain, owing to subdued inflammation; and freo and easy expectoration; first, bo* cause the mucous membranes are stimulated to throw tho phlegm up; and, second, because the medicine is adapted to thin the discharge before it leaves the lungs. It is pleasant to tho palate and may be safely taken in any case. EXTRACTS FROM TESTIMONIALS. From Rev. C. Pehnt. “When every remedy tried was powerless to afford relief (the cough was so distressing), the first dose of your Elixir proved most effective." From W. A. Cook, Esq.—" Two doses relieved me immediately when suffering from bronchitis, and by the time the small bottle was finished I had nearly recovered. My little girl got a slight attack of tho same complaint, but two doses cured her completely.’’ From Q. D.Lockhart,Esq.—“lhave repeated! found your Lung Preserver speedily relievo me when suffering from bronchitis. I can strong! recommend it.” From Isaac Alleh, Esq.—“ While relieving tho throat and chest, it does not, like other nostrums, disorder the digestive organs by inducing nausea, constipation, headache, loss of appetite, &a. 1 can heartily recommend it as the best, cheapest, and most palatable mixture known.” Prom William Maechovt, Esq., Flnxton, Con. terbury.—" I have suffered some years from Derangementof the Heart and Lungs, which at times caused me completely to lose my voice, but having read of the efficacy of your Lung Preserver, I pro. cured a bottle. After taking three doses 1 felt great relief, bot the subsequent doses acted wonderfully on mo. No home should be without it. I shall take a supply with me, os 1 intend to induce all I know to be suffering to try it. You are at liberty to make use of this letter any way yon please.” Prom Mr E. Fawcett, chemist, Kapunda, near Adelaide, South Australia.—“ The Lung Preserver meets with ready sale, and is highly esteemed by my customers; therefore I wish to procure a farther supply as soon as possible. There is no doubt it will eventually command a very great sale in this country.” Prom Dr Ewart.—“l am very much opposed to patent medicines generally, and totally discountenance the Balsams, Oxymels, Elixirs, Syrups, and other emanations of unprincipled empirics; but I regard your Lung Preserver as a really good preparation, entirely free from those qualities which render most patent medicines dangerous, and possessed of those tonic and stimulating properties which render it a treasure to those who suffer from the exhausting effects of pulmonary disease and chest affections generally. In oases of asthma, it quickly cuts short the paroxysm. In chronic bronchitis or winter cough it is useful; the discharge of mucous is greatly assisted, and the wh'qSzing and difficulty-Of breathing 'are greatly relieved by it. In acute bronchitis it is also beneficial, and, whilst it tends to check inflammation, it promotes expectoration, and thus relieves the laborious and difficult breathing so general in these attacks. As a cough medicine, for persons of all ages, it is excellent.” Prom T. C. Moouhocse, Esq,—“ Belfast Chomi. cal Works, Canterbury. We have used your ‘Lung Preserver' for ordinary Coughs, and found it invaluable, and bavo also given it to our children for Whooping Cough, and have been pleased with its speedy action in checking the severe paroxysms of coughing common to this complaint. Moreover, being free from the nauseating properties common to moat mixtures, it deservedly merits it present popular position as a therapeutic agent.” ■ From Fred. Miller, Esq. “Mabel Bush, Southland. About two years ago I bad a severe attack of Congestion of tho Lnngs. which left a constant pain in my left breast. I tried several patent and advertised remedies without receiving the least benefit. 1 at length bought one bottle of your * Lnng Preserver,' and ‘ after taking six doses the pain entirely left me, and has not returned since.* This was six weeks ago, and I had suffered the pain almost without intermission for two years previously. 1 feel bound to give this testimonial for the benefit of other sufferers.” Sold by all Patent Medicine Vendors in bottles.
