TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln reply to several letters which you have published on the above subject, will you kindly allow us to state that the expense of printing the successful lists is the only reason why they have not been given to the world. We proposed to advertise the list of the first prize-taker, but found, on enquiring, that if only inserted in one paper the coat would be, ”at least, £l.” The coat of advertising has already been considerable, and the effect of “ the last straw” is proverbial.
