Volunteer Notices. v. NORTH CANTERBURY DISTRICT.; y| ISTBICT ORDERS. Headquarters, Christchurch, 21s b March, 1837, 1. Government Parades of the Undermentioned Corps in North Canterbury District will be held at the respective Drill Sheds at 7.30 p.m.on the dates shown below;— 2. The next Examination of Officers for Commissions will be held at the District Office, Christchurch, on TUESDAY, the , 28th April, at 10.80 a,m. 3. A Divine Service Parade of all Corps at -Headquarters will be held at the Drill Shed at 10.15 a.m. bn SUNDAY, the 17th April, after .the return from the Easter Encampment. ■ 4. The following details for the Regulation of . the Routs to the Easter Encampment at Paxeora, on THURSDAY, .the 7th April, are published for General information 5. AU Arms will Parade in '‘Marching Order." ' ' 0. The Northern portion of ;the Canterbury Yeomanry. Cavalry and the canterbury , Mounted Rifles will assemble at tbo Drill Shed at 8.30 a.m , and march to Addington, where they will entrain their horses, proceeding by special train at 10 a,m. This train will also convey tie guns of the £ Battery, the horses cf Stan, Artillery and : Battalion Mounted! Officers. Horse-boxes will be provided. The officers referred to will arrange for their horses to reach Addington not later than 9 a.m.. This train will stop at Ashburton at 12 45 p.m., at Orari 2.25 pm., Temuka 3 p.m., and Timaru at 3.35 p.m., to take up men and . horses of the C.Y.O. at these several stations. 7. The Lyttelton Naval Artillery and the N Battery will leave Lyttelton by special train at 9.15 p.m. This train win stop at Wooiston to take up the He.thoote Rifles. 8. .The Bangiora Rifles will proceed to Christchurch by the ordinary evening train at 6.14 p.m., and the Koiapol Rifles will join at 6.40 p.m. 9. The E Battery Artillery, Canterbury Engineers, Ist Battalion Canterbury Rifles, and tbo Garrison Band will assemble at the Driltsbed at 8.45 p.m., thence march to railway station, and with the Lyttelton, Heathoote, Bacglcra and Kaiapoi Corps, be ■ entrained In special train proceeding to t-t Andrew’s at 10 p.m 10. The equipment should' consist of two blankets, waterproof sheet, socks, flannel, towel, soap and brushes, neatly rolled horsecollar fashion and labelled with owner’s name. Arrangements have been made to stow this baggage in goods vans. Corps will make their own arrangements to ensure the arrival of this baggage at the . Manchester street gate to railway platform at 9 o’clock, the expresses should therefore leave the Drill Shed at half-past eight. 11. The men will cany great ooats (rolled), water bottles, also haversacks, containing knife, fork, spoon, plate-and pannikin, together, with meal for the journey. 12 Corps should provide iron buckets, lanterns and tin dishes in the proportion of one of each for every eight men. —Medical Officer will make his while the force la in the o® oo^ 14. The camp will break up on Monday noon, the 11th April, and the force will embark for the return journey at 6 p.m. on that date, reaching Christchurch at an early hour on Tuesday morning, whan the several corps on the Lyttelton and Northern lines of railway will be sent on to their homes without delay. 15.
