CANTERBURY RAM FAIR.
The following are the entries for the ram fair, to be held on Thursday next at the new grounds of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association : South downs 464 English Leicestera 602 Border Leicestera 953 Bomney Marsh 53 Merinos 475 Lincolns ... 559 Total ... , ... 3106 Ewes 168 The entries last year numbered about 2300. A railway siding has been provided, and every necessary preparation for the fair made. Paddock accommodation has also been provided. It is anticipated that, in consequence partly of the favourable season, the show of rams will be the best yet seen here.
