The necessary runs to win the match were made by the Loan Company for the loss of one wicket, they thus winning by nine wickets. Luncheon was provided for the players in the pavilion. The wicket had been watered on the previous evening, and the downpour of rain yesterday morning may account for the inability of the losing team to get runs. The weather was fine, but the approach of winter was apparent by the keenness of the atmosphere.
