[Bbutbb’s Telegrams.] fEeceivort Kay 20. at X p.m.l OBITUARY. MELBOURNE, May 20. The death is announced of His Honor Judge Noel, of the Victoria Insolvency Court. THE KIMBERLEY RUSH. Reports from Perth, Western Australia, state that fully a thousand diggers are now round the Kimberley goldfields. I Received May 20, at 10 30 p.m.l THE SAN FRANCISCO MAIL, SYDNEY. Mat 20. The Mararoa sailed for San Francisco, via Auckland, this afternoon. THE BUDGET. The details of the Budget proposals of the Government are still under discussion in Committee of the Legislative Assembly, the imposition of five per cent ad valorem duty on a number of articles hitherto admitted free, and an increase on the present duty otherwise, meeting with vigorous opposition from Sir Henry Partes and his followers. Sir Henry threatens that if the proposals are insisted upon, he will do his utmost to force a dissolution. Sir John Robertson also expresses himself opposed to the proposals brought down by Sir Patrick Jennings. MAILS. ALBANY, Mat 20. The P. and O. Valetta arrived in King George’s Sound this morning, with the London mails to April 16.
