THE CARDINAL IN WELLINGTON.

[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Feb. 23. The conversazione at the Drillshed to-night, in aid of the expenses of the Cardinal’s visit, was extremely successful, 1200 to 1500 people being present. Cardinal Moran and the five bishops arrived first, the Governor and suite afterwards. They were received at the door by tbe clerical dignitaries, and remained until 10. The surplus, if any, will be divided among the poor of the city. There were many objects, particularly pictures, of considerable value lent for exhibition.
