Mails close for the following places as under (subject to the necessary alterations): — Thursday, Feb. 26. For Otago, per Penguin, at 11.30 a.m.; late fee letters at 11.40 a.m.; guard's van 12.10 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Wakatu, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and (specially addressed correspondence only), for Australian Colonies, per Te Anau, at3.20p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m train. For Westport, per Orowaiti, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Saturday, Feb. 28. For United Kingdom, Continents of Europe and America and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, Cape of Good Hope, Northern Ports of New Zealand, &c, &c., per Botorua, as follows:—Ordinary letters, at 6.30 p.m.; late fee letters, at 7 p.m.; books and newspapers, at 6.30 p.m.; money orders, at 3 p.m.; registered letters, at 5 p.m. This mail will be due in London on April 10.
