The Colonial Treasurer made a supplementary Financial Statement in th«' Legislative Assembly last night. Ho stated that tho income of the Colony was highly satisfactory, and (here was every reason to believe that the estimate ’ of Customs receipts would be fully realised, as well as the receipts from stamps and laud revenue. He announced that a loan for live millions sterling would shortly be placed on tho market in London, and believed it could be offered with advantage at 3‘ per cent. In the Legislative Assembly last night, a motion by Mr Buchanan in favour of the imposition of an ad valorem duty of 5 per cent, was negatived by 38 to 2.
