TO THE EDITOR. Sik, —I looked, and behold a poster—- " Vote for Dan Reese and the West Coast Railway! ” Again I looked, and behold a vote by the veritable Dan. I looked yet again, and behold —the poster was no more ; and the West Coast Railway—where was it ?—gone with the poster ? No ; merely retired into the oblivion of forgetfulness, with Dan’s love for the “ line.” Poor Stanmore! to W " tret thnsly.” Truly a Daniel come to judgment. —I am, vie., SOKROWFU L STANMORE. August 21. [lf Stanmore will send to Wellington men who, as far as political pledges go, cannot be trusted out of sight, Stanmore deserves what it gets.—Ei>. L.T.J
