Steady rain has been falling here all day, and it is considered doubtful whether the New Zealand football team will be able to play their match against the local men to-morrow. Should they be prevented from doing so, the team will have no opportunity of playing together until their first match in Sydney. The East Chriatehurch Club, will hold a practice on Cranmer square this evening, commencing at 4 p.m., when the team which represented the Cluh in the match against the Christchurch Club last Saturday will play against all comers. The fifteen will wear gold and black, and all comers colours. The match between the Zingari (Dunedin) and blast Christchurch Clubs takes nlace at Lancaster Park on Saturday afternoon, and on Monday afternoon the latter Cluh will play the Wellington Athletics. The Dunedin men arrive by the express on Friday evening, when it is to he hoped that there will he a good muster of the East Christchurch men to welcome the visitors.
