ROAD BOARDS.

EEATHCOTK. The above Board met on Friday la*t at 10 a.m. la the Board roam, Ferry road * present —Ueeert 1. J. T. ford (m **» chair). J. 8. Knock. W. Attorned. and B. Brown.—The CSUr'i laid a list of defaulting ratepayers before the Board, and he was instructed to summon* all that he had the addwse of at «i», and in all other oases to take proceeding* against Use property.— Me Wilson’* road. The Stows Clerk, Sydenham, waited on the Board with n foresee to a necessary alteration in plan and tenders that bad been received, also recommending the acceptance of B. Mildred's. It was resolved to approve of the acceptance of the lender of B. Mfldren.—The receipts wore reported to be £163 10s 6A—The following eorretpoedeooe wee read and dealt with: —from the Drainage Board, letters re rale*, and lint of defaulting rate* paysre, and stating that their collector would coiled toe rates la this district after March 1. The Clerk wu inetructed to make out the Hit aa requested, and a statement of receipts and payment* by next Board day.—From the Property Tax Com* aasuoocr, asking that any inaccutaoy In to* roll might be noted, and forwarded to him. Owing to the absence of the member representing the ward the Board decided sot to sanction the expenditure of 35s for expenses at the iate Are, at the same time approving of the matter.—The Surveyor’s report was read* He vat instructed to lover the level of road when metalled at Dwyer’s comer.
