The application of Guiteau’s counsel for a new trial has been refused, and sentence has been passed upon him.. He is to be hanged on June 30. COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE. LONDON, Feb. 2. Consols, 99i. The total reserve of notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £10,750,000. No changes
to report in tbe market for colonial securities, breadstoffs, or tallow. Feb. 3. Consols are unchanged at 99|. Markets for Colonial securities and produce are without quotable change. Tbe total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,810,000 quarters. [Some of tbe above telegrams have been delayed in transmission between Australia and New Zealand.]
