Sendall, one of the Assistant-Secretaries of the English Local Government Board, to the Lieutenant-Governorship of this Colony, in succession to Sir Evelyn Wood, is viewed with much disfavour throughout Natal; and the Legislative Council at its sitting to-day voted six instead of the usual twelve months’ supplies, as a protest against Mr Sendall’s appointment.
