ANNUAL SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS.

FOED, LINCOLN. i The annual sports and distribution of prizes in connection with this school, took place on Boxing Day. The sports were held m a paddock near the school, which was kindly placed at the disposal of the Committee, by Mr Patrick Henley, of New Headford. The weather, being all that could be desired, it is needless to say, the children as well as a large number of parents and friends, enjoyed themselves thoroughly both by partaking of the good things provided for them by the Committee, and by racing, jumping and other games 5 each event being contested with great spirit. The distribution of prizes was the event of the day, and took place in the school room, in the presence of the parents bnd a number of friends. The Eev Father phervier who presented the prizes, congratulated the children on the progress they had made, in their studies during the past year, but especially during the last six taonths, and attributed their success in the different subjects, for examination, to a more tegular attendance during that period. He iixhorted them to be good and obedient to heir parents during the recess, .showing hereby that they had proßted by the mwl essons inculcated at school.
