INQUEST AT WAIMATE.

An inquest was held at Dooley’s Hotel, Waimate, on Monday last, before Mr B. Beetham,coroner, on the body of John Adair, a native of County Monaghan, Ireland, aged 22, who was found dead in his bed at North Waitaki, on the previous day. 7 ’ _ A jury having been sworn, of which Mr if. He had. been in the employ of Mr Bedpath for the past seven weeks as a ploughman; On Friday last deceased complained of a violent pain in his stomach, and went to bed* Some vinegar bitters were given to him, which caused mm to vomit.
