The population in Sandhurst in 1873 was 25,592, and in ISSO, 25,748, thus showing an increase of 156. The largest number of persons was in 1875 (28,306), and the smallest number in 1873. Comparing 1879 with 1880 the falling off is only 37. The net annual value of the property in the city of Sandhurst for the year 1872 was £148.954, and in 1880 £166,394, an increase of £17,440.
