Dr. Henry Draper, of New York, whose discovery of the presence of oxygen in the sun excited much attention a year ago, and was the subject of some adverse criticism, has continued his investigations until he has achieved results which must convince the most sceptical. The photographs which he has now obtained are on a larger scale than those on which he first baaed his discovery.
Pabis Exhibition.—The delay in giving the notice of awards has caused much dissatisfaction! and has led to the omission from the unofficial lists of prize-takers, published, by some newspapers, of the names of leading English firms, each as Cuosse k Blackwell, whose goods are appreciated in every household, and who have added to their great reputation by the splendid display of their manufactures at the Exhibition.
