The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Oust Lodge was held on Tuesday, when the D.G.M. attended. There was a fair attendance of brethren. The ordinary routine business of the meeting having been transacted, Bro P.G. Webber was appointed to represent the Lodge at the annual meeting ia Christchurch. Tho fifth anniversary of tho Doyloston Lodge was celebrated on Tuesday evening by a tea and concert, followed by a danoo. The whole of the programme was quite a success. The Doyleston Town Hull, in which the amusements were held, was crowded with ladies and gentlemen from seven miles round. After tea, songs were sung by Miss Smith, Miss 0. Smith, Miss L. Smith, Messrs 0. Frankish, Winnie, Pentlo, Glasson, Jones, S. 0. Doyle, Harding, J. H. Doyle, Lindsey, and Page, which were much enjoyed, if we may judge from the repeated encores. Also, a very amusing reading by Mr Borrell. At the conclusion of the concert the room was cleared, and dancing kept up with great spirit well into the small hours.
