Let* tering (freehand) in large and open Soman cha- ■ ; raotera and Arabic numerals: 4. Ordinary map ‘ " drawing; 5. Seducing; 6. Plotting, traveraesj 7. Computation of latitude and departure and applied plane, trigonometry generally, including computation of areas by the system of doable longitudes, Ac. and satisfy tte Surveyor-General that they are generally competent to perform the duties of a survey draftsman. In the event of passing the examination, the remuneration will depend upon the degree of efficiency that may then and thereafter he exhibited. Temporary draftsmen are divided into seven classes, at rates varying from 6s to 17s per diem for 5J working days per week., In opening communication on this subject, applicants are invited to forward specimens of their draftsmanship.
