The ship Mallowdale sailed for Newcastle, and the schooner Maty King for Picton, yesterday afternoon. Ho work was done at the wharves yesterday, in consequence of th° Railway picnic. The sailing of the Tni for Wellington is postponed until Monday, Feb. 10. The Prince Alfred,'barqnentine. Capt. Schenkel, 'left Pelorus Sound on Sunday. Feb. 2. Had northwest winds to Monday night, then heavy southerly breeze as for as Eaikoora, thence north-west winds till arrival in harbour, yesterday morning. The schooner Spray, Capt. Buxton, left Picton •on Feh. 1, with a light westerly breeze; cleared the Sound next day, and was off Eaikoora on Feb. 3, when a south-west gale sprang np, compelling the vessel to anchor under the Peninsula for shelter, where she lay until 5 a m., Feb. 5, when the trip was resumed. The Heads were reached at 2 a.m. yesterday, and the vessel anchored at 6 a.m. Messrs Caff and Graham are expecting the following vessels to arrive:—T. B. Taylor, from Wanganui; Annie H3l, from Bluff; Nelson, from Pelorus Sound; Edith Beid, from Waitapu; and Maui Graham, from Eaipara. The latter vessel reached Eaipara this morning. The s s.
