: Th« anminl meeting of this Board was held at the office on Monday last ; present—Messrs Gfrigz (chairman), Hunt, Gngg, Taylor, and Wnght. Several letters were rtad, which Were left over for the consideration of the elected Board.—Several ganders were opened, and one in'each case accepted for the formation and shingling of Coon-ane’s and Christy’s roads. —The annual accounts Were then examined previous to their .being submitted to the annual meeting of ratepayers.— T|ie Board then adjourned. i i j COURTENAY. Resolved —“That the disposal of tb same be left for the decision of the heW loard.”— Prom the Chairman oi; the Road Board Conference Committee respecting the legal expenses incurred with a view to rtcover the subsidies due by the Government to Road Boards on account of land fund, ot Dec.3l, 1877. The Surveyor stated that hlfaad replied to the letter as instructed, after obtaining the opinion of the members of tty Board individually.—From the Helwyn County Council, forwarding communication rom the Commissioner of Bail ways, grantng the Bokrd permission to form a road ahpg the Railway reserve, from Rirwee wostwott—The pay-sheets, amounting to £1628 n, were adopted and passed for payment, the. Patton for the sum of £9O !os, TM Committee appointed to consider what portions of the Back road should be fejmed, reported that they considered that the wiole of the 14 miles advertised for should be dote, and hadjacoepted B. Patton’s tender at 8s petphain for |he work.—The reports of the oomn|ttees were adopted.—Correspondence was Sod— From the proprietor# of the Evening ficho, asking for a share of the Board's aovkisomaids.
