Timaeu.—There has been UUlo doing in the groin market daring the past week, although several parcels of oats have changed hands at full market values. This cereal is worth from 3s 9d to 4a for good samples, although the merchants ore not inclined to do business at the latter price. In view ot the comparative failure of this season’s crop, farmers would do well to hold their last year's oats for a few weeks longer, as the market is certain to harden. There is very little wheat coming forward, and prices for second rate samples range from 3s 9d to Is 3d Eeally first-class samples command ss, and are in demand at that price, but the quantity of prime wheat in the district is very small indeed. Barley lor feed is worth from 2s Od to 3s, and good malting samples fetch as high as 4a. BHA.BE MABItBT. The following is Mr E. J. T.
