LOADING RAILWAY TRUCKS.
TO THB BDITOB OF THS LtTTBLtOK Bib,—Will you kindly publish enclosed. I may add before I got the first; letter th* station-master stopped the drayman frhm diioharging hia load into a track that woe partially loaded. It may be inferred that I had some.. account# not settlsd, but all das accounts were prid at thedate. This morning the stationmaster refuses to allow wagons to be pntinto the siding, the usual place' for loading, and will give no; explanation, and this is the way to foster the indostriea of the Oolony. I am of opinion that the power to refuse to carry goods on the railways without just cause is dangerous for a Government to poesepi. but (or the General Manager to assume thi| power in the absence of any law on the ■abject is destructive of ‘ all inducement* to use tha railway*.—l am, Ac, JOHN JHBBON.
