EXPLANATION.

TO THB BDITOB Or THK LTITELXON TIMES. Sir,—Will you kindly allow me to correct your report of what I said last evening in the Provincial Council. I stated that I wished to ■ee a general building rate extending over the whole of the country, including those portions which had had the advantage of a large Government expenditure for permanent building at small cost to themselves. Also that a small additional! charge to those using the schools, judiciously managed, would be sufficient to meet the charges for maintainance. Your obedient servant, MABMADUKE DIXON.
