Handicap Hubbub Eaob, of 75 sore. Two miles. Seven flights. This was a gift to Tommy Todd, who took every hurdle clean, and was a better jumper and galloper than Now'2ealander. Monarch was scratched. Time; 4min 34 sec. Hack jHtomb Sack. Four hurdles. Two entries. . Kangaroo won, through Dick Turpin shying at the last hurdle. Wbbuh&ion Dubby, 100 sovs, one mile and-a-half; seven entries;; 'Voltaire, Qlenary, and Bang! wore scratched. Betting : 5 to ; 4on Ngaro. After several false starts, Ngaro went off with the lead, Bemnant second, Guy Fawkes third. Nanakaia turned rusty after the first half-mile, and was pulled up. . Ngaro kept the lead, Bemnant and Guy Fawkes running neck-and-neok; these positions were main: tained until the straight run home, when Ngaro- won by a couple of lengths, Qny ■Fawkes beating Bemnant for seoond.placs: by a length. Bemnant appeared to have been heldm. Time: 2mins 65aeos. ■Jockey Club Handicap, 100 sovs; mile and a half .; 10 entries.. Voltaire, Bangi, and Tamburini were scratched. Parawhenua took the 'lead, Bemnant second, Guy Fawkes third, Ngaro fourth, Princess' Mary last. There were but slight changes in the. race until coming to the' straight, when Princess Mary came up from the last place and came within two lengths of Parawhenua, who was first, and a length off Bemnant. Parawhenua won by three lengths; Bemnant second, Princess Mary third. Time: 2min49secs.
