LYTTELTON. ARRIVED. Nov. 8 - Wanganui, s.s., 194 tons, Linklater, from Dunedin via Oamaru. Passengers—Mr and Mrs Hunter, Mrs Boig, Messrs Taylor, Wilson, Mclntosh. Nov. 8—Cantabre, barque, Bourge, from Dunedin. Nov. 8. —Velocidade, barque, Ifwerson from Boston. CLEARED. Nov. 8.—Bee, schooner, 31 tons, Lawrence, from Kaikouras. SAILED. Nov. 8.—Maori, s.s., 118 tons, Malcolm, for Dunedin, and intermediate ports. Passengers —Mrs McLood. IMPORTS. Wanganui, Cuff and Graham, agents : Under bond—s octaves, 10 quarter-casks. Free —31 cases, 2 bales, 71 pipes, 2 boilers, 1 piece chain, 80 tins, 105 drums, 26 pkgs, 8 bdla. Cantabre, Dalgety, Nichols and Co., agents : 6230 pkgs sugar. EXPORTS. Bee, master, agent: 302 bdls, standard j 6 eases, 25 sacks oats, 21 pkgs. The s.s. Maori sailed on her return trip yesterday, at 2.30 p.m. A Barque from the South was signalled yesterday afternoon, but it was very doubtful ff she would make the heads by night. The French barque Cantabre, Captain Bourge, arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon, from Dunedin, where she discharged a portion of her Mauritius cargo. The Cantabre brings a part cargo for Canterbury, and is consigned to Messrs Dalgety, Nichols, and Co.

The s.s. Wanganui, Captain Linldater, arrived in harbour yesterday, at 2 p.m. from Dunedin; sailed from Port Chalmers, at 10 p.m., on the 6th, and arrived at Oamaru, at 6 a.m., on the 7tb ; sailed the same evening, at 7 o’clock, arriving as above; passed a large barque standing in for Lyttelton ; experienced fine weather. The Wanganui sails for northton ports this day. The barque Yelocidade which arrived in harbour last night, left Boston Bay on the 19th July, and experienced moderate weather and head winds to the equator, which was crossed on the 23rd August, in 29deg. 18 min. W. ; had very unsteady S.E. trades .passed the meridian of the Cape of Quod Hope, on the 23rd September, in lat. 38deg--85m.; sighted St Paul’s on the Bth October, and the Snares on the Ist instant; arriving as Above, having had nothing but light airs and calms up the coast. The barque brings a full cargo of American goods for Messrs Taylor and Co. The Yelocidade took the first cargo of wool from Lyttelton for Boston direct, Bailing on March 11.
