AKAROA AND WAINUI ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of this Board was held in the Survey office on Saturday; the 17th inst. Members present—Messrs X’ipcr, Johnson, and Hodgson. • In the absence of the, chairman, Mr H. Piper was requested to take the chair. The minutes of lust meeting wore read and confirmed.
A letter was read from the Secretary for Public Works, desiring information relative to Road Board works in the neighbourhood of Wainui, and the Clerk was directed to furnish the required information.
A letter was received from the Pigeon Bay Road Board, stating that no tender had been offered for the making of new road from the Purau line to Barry’s Bay Saddle, Little River road.
Tenders were received for securing breastwork, and reforming and metalling the above roadway, and one was accepted. The Foreman was instructed to . prepare specifications and cull for tenders for putting in additional culverts to the Little River road, and was also directed to have some removed which projected into the road on the Little River side of the range. Accounts to the amount of £6O 9s 9d were passed for payment. The meeting then adjourned.
